Job Title: Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas and Mining

Job Purpose:

As a Business Development Manager specializing in oil and gas and mining clients, your role involves identifying and creating opportunities for business growth within these industries.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand clients’ needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions.
  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Originate new business opportunities and pipelines.
  • Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and industry events. • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective lead-generation strategies.
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our capabilities and how they align with clients’ needs.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition and unique selling points.
  • Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to expand your professional network.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations in the oil and gas and mining market conditions.
  • Identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
  • Connect with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in the oil and gas and mining sectors.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking and managing leads.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with potential clients, projects, or market conditions.

Skills, Abilities, Talent and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Mining, or a related field. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in business development within the oil and gas and mining industries.
  • Strong understanding of the service provider landscape in the target sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding business development targets.
