Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager drives growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the company’s overall strategic development. This role requires industry knowledge, sales acumen, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, potential clients, and emerging oil and gas and mining opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to develop strategies that position Anaf Commercial Services competitively.
  1. Client Relationship Management
  • Promote Anaf Consulting Services products/solutions to create a strong market presence and build long-term relationships with existing and new customers throughout the life cycle.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Developing successful partnerships with key customers and strategic partners.
  1. New Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base in our focused markets and sectors.
  1. Proposal Development and Presentation
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients, showcasing our services and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure proposals align with client requirements and industry standards.
  1. Contract Negotiation and Closing
  • Lead negotiations with clients to finalize terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
  1. Strategic Planning
  • Lead the development and implementation of the business development strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for diversification and growth opportunities.
  1. Collaboration with Internal Teams
  • Coordinate with technical, operational, and support teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Communicate client expectations and project requirements to internal teams to ensure alignment.
  1. Market and Industry Representation
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility and build a strong industry presence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitive developments. Skills, Abilities, Talent and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in business development within the oil and gas and mining industries.
  • Strong understanding of the service provider landscape in the target sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding business development targets.
